New Kaine ad shares economic message

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate is out with a new TV ad, “Tomorrow,” that shares his economic message with a wider audience.

Like Kaine’s other ads thus far, the 30-second spot is positive, making no mention of his GOP opponent, George Allen.

“I’ve been traveling all across Virginia, talking to business owners and workers about our economic future. From these conversations, I know we can create jobs right away by investing in small businesses and rebuilding our roads and bridges,” Kaine says.

“But we can’t stop there Education and training are the keys to the jobs of tomorrow. We need to remain the most talented nation on earth, and I have a plan to keep us there.”

The ad will run in major media markets across Virginia. Kaine’s campaign has already purchased more than $4.5 million in TV advertising time ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

“Tim Kaine’s ‘Extreme Makeover’ continues as he pretends to support businesses while championing every major failed economic policy coming out of Washington,” responded Allen spokeswoman Emily Davis. “Virginians heard the same rhetoric when Tim Kaine claimed the $800 billion stimulus would ‘jumpstart the economy,’ only to watch it fail to keep national unemployment below 8 percent.”
