Group attacks Cuccinelli on remaining AG while running for governor

Democrats are trying to gain traction in the race for governor by circulating a video by an advocacy group that attacks Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli for his decision to remain on the job while he runs for governor in 2013.

The video, produced by a group called American Bridge 21st Century, takes on Cuccinelli, noting that the last six attorneys general who have run for the Executive Mansion have all resigned their office in the months leading up to the election for governor.

The most recent, of course, is Gov. Bob McDonnell, who left the AG’s office to pursue to the top job as a candidate on a full-time basis.

Cuccinelli, for his part, has said that he will keep his word to remain in office and finish the job.  Click on the link to see the video.
